Parental Alienation
Parental Alienation commonly occurs during family separation or divorce, where one parent aims to exclude the other from the life of their child. It is the process, and result, of manipulating a child into showing unwarranted fear, disrespect or hostility towards a parent and/or other family members.
In short, Parental Alienation is a type of psychological abuse, against both the child and the rejected family member.
